The Challenge

Mayastoga’s properties were getting lost on Airbnb and VRBO — competing against thousands of listings where luxury homes look the same as budget rentals. They were paying 15%+ in platform fees on every booking, had zero control over how their brand was presented, and couldn’t capture guests directly. Worse, they were invisible to travelers searching Google for ‘Napa Valley vacation rentals’ — leaving bookings on the table to competitors with better online presence.

The Solution

We built Mayastoga their own booking platform from scratch — 22 luxury property listings each with 50–100+ professional photos and 100+ amenities cataloged. Guests browse on an interactive map, filter by dates, group size, and amenities, then book and pay directly through a secure checkout that handles deposits, cleaning fees, taxes, and cancellation policies. Travel insurance is built into the flow. To drive traffic without OTA dependency, we published 24 in-depth wine country guides covering everything from trip planning to corporate retreats to Airbnb alternatives. When travelers Google ‘Calistoga vacation rentals’ or ‘Napa Valley Airbnb alternatives,’ they find Mayastoga. We also built concierge services for wine tours, private chefs, and transportation as a new revenue stream beyond nightly rates.
